Through the leadership of the board of directors, its purpose is to meet the philanthropic needs of LTO. For 35 years, Lambda Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the oldest African-American sorority for college educated women in the United States, has provided scholarships and conducted programs to enhance the health, welfare and educational development of individuals and families in the Far South Chicagoland Community.
Our goals are to:
- Provide financial assistance to deserving individuals who are seeking higher education
- Support local organizations through volunteer services and financial assistance annually
- Maintain life long partnerships with leading organizations that have common program
