Cultured Pearls

Regardless of income level, studies have shown with supportive mentors, children grow intellectually, interpersonally, and emotionally. Mentoring creates positive impact in the lives of children. Mentored youth have increased self-confidence and self-esteem. In comparison to non-mentored youth, mentored youth have higher rates of high school graduation and are less likely to drop out of school.

Cultured Pearls mentoring group was designed to promote and enhance the development of girls (6th – 8th grades) by instilling a sense of self-confidence, self-esteem, and promoting high scholastic achievement. Our programming focuses on: Education and Careers, Character and Leadership, Health and Life Skills, The Arts, Fitness and Recreation, and Civic Engagement. Students and mentors meet monthly for interactive workshops and activities.

Applications are accepted annually at the start of every new school year. To apply for the mentoring programs, please click the button above and complete the application.
