Meet Our President

Ruby E. Roberson, Ed.D. is the President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Lambda Tau Omega Chapter as well as its philanthropic arm, Twenty Pearls Foundation, Inc.

Dr. Roberson is retired with over 25 years in the field of education. In her profession, she has served as a Head Start Director, elementary school classroom teacher, Reading Specialist, Assistant Principal, Principal, and District Superintendent. After retiring, she worked for several years as a trainer of teachers in Hawaii, Guam, Washington, and Nevada.

Currently, the focus of Ruby’s energy, passion, and attention has been on the work of Lambda Tau Omega Chapter and Twenty Pearls Foundation, Inc.

Dr. Roberson has earned a bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University, a Master of Early Childhood Education from Erickson Institute, a Master of Educational Leadership degree from Governors State University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Loyola University of Chicago.

Ruby is a 55-year member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and has been a member of Twenty Pearls Foundation Inc., since joining the chapter.
